About Hannah Grove

Who Am I?

I’m Hannah Grove (she/her) - I’m a Master’s Level Clinician, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher.

I am a traveler and adventurer who is committed to continual learning about the mind-body connection. I live my life guided by intuition and grounded in practical action as I strengthen my inner teacher and learn to embody my full self expression.

In my free time I love to travel, dance, and spend time with loved ones.

Hannah will be working with Bellamy & Associates for her Masters level internship until the end of May 2024.

My Approach

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and unique to you.

I believe we all need to be seen, safe, heard, and connected—within ourselves and in relationship to others.

While we all hold great strengths within to meet these needs, we can at times lose sight of them throughout the turbulence of life. We may feel a general sense of unease or find that strategies that used to keep us safe now create further discord. As your therapist, I seek to create a nonjudgmental therapeutic space where you can look at where you are, where you would like to be, and consider how to make that a reality.

Sometimes this looks like examining patterns that may not be working for you and gaining insight into how they developed. Other times it may look like allowing your feelings to be fully expressed or holding space for you to tell your story. For those that are interested, it may also look like somatic interventions that connect the mind and body.

Through a client-centered integrative approach, I will work with you to strengthen your inner teacher, facilitate authentic communication, and create space where you may embrace your full self-expression so that you can regain sight of these strengths that have always been within you.

I believe therapy is a tool that can help us get out of our heads and move forward in our healing process.

I like working with clients who are curious about their own healing and are interested in taking steps towards a healthier version of themselves.

We may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel a general sense of unease and are not sure how to move forward

  • Experience depression or anxiety symptoms

  • Feel distanced from your body and want to reconnect

  • Struggle to show up for yourself and your life

  • Feel frustrated in your relationships and want to find people who really get you

  • Struggle with self-esteem and questions around your identity

  • Want someone to process life difficulties or early life experiences with you

What’s My Experience?

Online therapy Chicago

I am a Masters Student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling completing my graduate training at Adler University.

I hold a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology, which informs my desire to understand you within your unique cultural and relational context. I have previous experience working with domestic violence advocacy and relational difficulties which helps me identify relational patterns in your life. My experience as a massage therapist and energy worker informs my psychotherapy work as I see where emotional blocks may be stored in the body and can provide techniques to help release and process them for those who are interested.

What is Sliding Scale Therapy?

Sliding scale therapy is a flexible payment option designed to make mental health services more accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This approach adjusts the cost of therapy based on an individual's ability to pay, ensuring that quality mental health care, delivered by Master's level clinicians, like Hannah, remains within reach for all.

Why Choose Sliding Scale Therapy in Illinois?

Chicago and Illinois residents have varied income levels, making sliding scale therapy, a needed resource for individuals who may not have insurance, are underinsured, or cannot afford traditional therapy. Sliding scale therapy helps with:

  • Affordability: Sliding scale therapy offers a more affordable alternative to standard therapy fees, making it accessible to individuals with limited financial resources.

  • Quality Care: You can still expect high-quality mental health care from master’s level clinicians like Hannah who are committed to your well-being.

  • Financial Flexibility: Your therapy fees are determined based on your income and financial situation, ensuring that you only pay what you can afford.

  • Reduced Stigma: Sliding scale therapy helps reduce the stigma associated with seeking mental health support by making it accessible to a wider audience.

How Does Sliding Scale Therapy Work?

The process for accessing online sliding scale therapy here at Bellamy & Associates involves the following steps:

  • Contact Us: Reach out to us to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. We’ll ask you more about what you’re looking for support with, answer any questions you may have, and go over the logistics of next steps.

  • Income Assessment: Included on this call, we can discuss sliding scale/affordable therapy rates and what that means for you. We don’t require income verification and prefer to have open discussions and trust that you know what you can comfortably invest in your mental health.

  • Start Therapy: Once your fee is determined, you’ll receive the registration forms. Once you send those back, you can start your therapy sessions with your master's level clinician.

  • Regular Reassessment: Your financial situation may change over time. We may check in for periodic reassessments to ensure your therapy fees remain fair.
